The Department of Accounting and Finance at the Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, was officially inaugurated on January 1, 2025. The grand event was graced by Professor V. Kanagasingam, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, Sri Lanka as the Chief Guest, Professor T. Pirabaharan, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, Sri Lanka as the Guest of Honour, and Professor T. Velnamby as a Special Guest.
