Workshop for Advanced Level Economics Students in Batticaloa West and Kalkudah Educational zones
The Department of Economics, Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, successfully conducted the first phase of its workshop series designed for Advanced Level (A/L) students in the Commerce and Arts streams who offer Economics as a subject in Batticaloa West and Kalkudah Educational zones. The programme was organized with the objective of strengthening students’ preparation for the forthcoming G.C.E. (A/L) Examination by providing structured academic guidance and examination-focused strategies.
The first session of the workshop was held on 30th January 2026, from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., at the Main Auditorium of BT/KK Chenkalady Central College, Chenkalady, Batticaloa. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students. The session provided students with practical guidance on effective answer-writing techniques, time management according to allocated marks, and strategic approaches to answering examination questions. The programme proved to be highly beneficial and academically enriching, equipping students with the necessary skills and confidence to approach their final examination more effectively.
